Foals

I love working with the foals and giving them a great start before sharing them with others. Each one holds a special place in my heart, however, contributing to and perpetuating of the Morgan breed is one of Country Rose Morgans goals, so helping to fulfill a dream for fellow Morgan lovers around the world, is a blessing. I look forward to meeting you and making new friends.

All foals are imprinted and halter trained. We groom, de-worm, vaccinate and farrier on a regular basis. Our horses are handled daily!

What we know of Jehannes 484 Sport from his Owners:
Jehannes 484 resides in the Netherlands. He was born in 2011 and stands 1.67 meters. He was the Senior Champion at the 2020 Inspection, Grand Champion Stallion at the 2015 Inspection, and has the Sport predicate in Driving and Dressage.

Jehannes is a beautifully built stallion with a nice modelled neck. He is built very “uphill” with correct, dry legs. In the stable, Jehannes is very sweet and wants attention from everyone. Jehannes is very willing to work and always puts his best foot forward. He has a very strong and active hind leg that he puts well under the masses. He has a good swishing power that is so important for dressage. Jehannes stands out for his beautiful front and proud attitude.

Jehannes is the first born offspring of Tsjalle and is also the first Stallion offspring of Tsjalle to be approved. Jehannes has a double Preferent mother and a Preferent grandmother. Two Half-sisters by Jehannes are Crown, one of which is also Sport. His mother and Half-sisters are very fine horses to work with.

What the Friesian Connection Stallion Station has to say about Hessel:

Hessel is, in type, the absolute epitome of a modern Friesian. He is big, has length in the legs and is built upwardly, which is accentuated even more through his long, light neck. He distinguishes himself by strong connections between the different skeletal parts such as neck/shoulder, shoulder/back and back/loins, followed by a long and well laid croup. That is where athletic ability and sustainability come from!

In the performance test Hessel stood out with his impressive way of moving. His trot is absolutely spectacular. He has a high and far reaching front leg, with power from behind. This stallion moves with a lot of body use and is flexible. The walk is spacious and active, in the canter he jumps up beautifully with a lot of balance.

The bloodlines of Hessel are very interesting. His sire is the famous stallion Norbert 444 Sport Preferent. The mother of Hessel, Jitscke, is a star daughter of Jelke 367. Jelke was a large and modern stallion and a son of Pyt 325. The dam report describes Jitscke at the age of 10 as a beautiful mare and breed typical, with a lot of quality in the legs, a spacious and powerful walk and a good trot with a nice body frame. The granddam of Hessel is the 1st premium star mare Preferent Sport Fryske vd Boschijk.

In 2014 Hessel had a super nice debut, he was one of the landmarks of the Stallion Inspection (Hengsten Keuring). In 2015 Hessel again performed great at the HK with his modern exterior and strong trot. Hessel won the head position in his group, was Reserve Champion of the young stallions and General Reserve Champion! The year 2016 and 2017 continued to see Hessel on the top of his group and in the championship rounds.

Hessel 480 is the tallest of the 16 KFPS approved stallions to have stood at the Friesian Connection Stallion Station over the years and he is also the sweetest. His character is one of the best they have seen in their 34 years of breeding Friesian horses.

What Signature Friesians says about their amazing stallion Norbert: Norbert is one of the KFPS’s most Elite breeding stallions. Norbert has accomplished just about everything…Multiple Champion, Reserve Champion, Horse of the Year, sport predicate and so on. In 2012, 2013 and 2014, he won the title of Overall Champion at the Stallion show in Leeuwarden and in 2010 was Reserve Champion. In 2013, he was awarded KFPS horse of the year. To add to his accomplishments he has sired five outstanding sons. Norbert stems from a very well respected stamline 25. Not only is he an excellent dressage stallion but a multiple winner in Harness. He is kind and very people oriented. He is balanced, strong, supple, super extension and uphill. His trot is “WOW”. Norbert’s offspring also show great balance and uphillness.

What Iron Spring Farm says about their Stallion, Meinse: Meinse is an exciting 1st Premium stallion that has shown his talent for dressage and as a sire. In 2012, he was Approved on offspring. Meinse sired the highest percentage of Star Mares in North America in 2015.

In 2009 and 2010, he competed successfully against all breeds and won two GAIG/USDF Regional Championships. He has earned numerous High Score awards and brought home many tri-color ribbons.

Throughout his stallion test, Meinse received good marks and is considered a versatile stallion. He has great qualities for both under saddle and harness work. Built uphill, with a beautiful shoulder and neck, Meinse is a nice rectangular model, with three quality gaits and fluid movements. Meinse excels as the modern type of Friesian.

Meinse is by Iron Spring Farm’s successful dressage stallion, Heinse 354, who has sired several Approved stallions and Keuring champions. Meinse’s dam, Femke van New, is from the important stam line 150 and is a 1st Premium Star mare. With these great bloodlines, it is no surprise that Meinse’s first foals caused a sensation.

Jouwe 485 was the top performance horse of the Central Examination 2014. He is a son of the impressive stallion Pier 448, and has a lot of size and a powerful build. In the performance test, Jouwe performed in all disciplines very well. He has a very good hind end, and therefore can easily excel in both riding and driving. Jouwe is very impressive to look at. We look forward to meeting this foal.
